Welcome to ComicSource . Below are some of the most frequently asked questions we receive. Hopefully you will be able to find the answer to your question here without having to e-mail us. Also, be sure to read our Payment Methods and Shipping Terms.

How can I place an order if I want to pay via check or money order?

Simply fill out the Mail-In Order Form, print it and mail it to us with your payment. It is also a good idea for you to e-mail us so we can set aside your items for 5 business days, so that no one else can buy the items we have reserved for you.

Can I use a check or money order to place an order if I live outside the U.S.?

Absolutely. While we accept personal checks only from United States residents, we accept money orders from all over the world, but they must be in United States denominations and drawn on a United States bank.

Security I want to order from you but I'm worried about sending my credit card number online; is there any other way I can order?

Our site uses a secure server for credit card orders. You can also mail your order to us if you wish. Just print out our Mail-In Order Form and mail it to us with your payment.

ShippingHow much will it cost to ship an item to me?

In the U.S., shipping & handling for regular size comic books is $5 for the first book and 50¢ for each additional book. Overseas Shipping charges are determined by the weight and dimensions of your parcel, the destination, and the carrier used. We need to know this information before we can calculate your shipping charge.

Shipping Does the $20 minimum include the price of shipping and handling?

Yes.

How will my order be shipped?

Unless you specify otherwise, we will ship your package by Priority Mail. Many of our competitors don't offer Priority or First Class service, instead sending packages Parcel Post or as Bound/ Printed Materials, which is cheaper but can take up to 30 days to deliver. Priority Mail averages 3 to 5 days; it also ensures
that your package will be handled with more care than the other, cheaper
methods of shipping.

Is there any reason why I might not want to use Priority Mail?

Since Priority Mail cannot be traced, we will not be responsible for lost or missing packages sent that way; you can have your order mailed insured for a slight postal fee. If your order is sent by UPS or FedEx, it can be tracked and traced.

Shipping I am living overseas in the military. I have a U.S. address but it is similar to a post office box. Can you ship my order using First Class Mail (UPS won't ship to P.O boxes)?

Yes, just print your address on the order form and it will automatically go by U.S. Mail.

Shipping Can you ship my order to my P.O. box using First Class Mail (UPS won't ship to P.O boxes)?

We will ship to you P.O. box, but since First Class Mail is not traceable, we will not be responsible if the items do not arrive or arrive damaged.

E-MailWhy do you need my e-mail address?

The reason we ask for customer e-mail addresses is so that we can contact you in the event of a problem with your order. Sometimes a credit card number is rejected, or incorrect, or the expiration date is wrong, or an item is out of stock, or for some other reason we need to get a hold of the customer.

E-MailWill you send me an e-mail confirmation of my order?

All customer orders go directly to our secure server, which notifies us that an order has arrived and we pick it up from there. At the time the customer sends the order, he should receive (or be transferred to an) order confirmation (page). This is more efficient than sending out individual replies manually (the alternative would mean slower order processing).

Browser I get constant "Javascript Error" messages whenever I load up your site!

If you are receiving javascript errors you may be using an outdated browser version. We recommend that you update your browser to the most current version, for example, Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5, Netscape 4.x, or Opera 5.12.

Availability Do you still have this item...?

All of our pages are updated daily for changes in price and availability. Credit card orders are filled in the order in which they are received (first come first served). Check/ money order orders are not filled until funds are received. (Therefore, if you place an order by check, it is possible that the item may be gone by the time your check arrives).

It is possible that we might sell out of something in between 24 hour website updates, but with so many items available, most customers are usually not affected by this.

Availability Do you offer a Subscription Service?

We accept monthly orders from Previews. We can mail you Previews monthly or you can download it each month from our website or from Diamond's website. Payment is due when the order is submitted to us. We accept Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, checks, and money orders.

We ship small orders in the same rigibag mailers that Wizard uses to mail out their "1/2" comics. These mailing envelopes are very sturdy and reinforced to protect the contents. The comics are bagged but usually require no boards since the rigibags are sturdier than any backing board.

We ship large orders (including non comic items like videotapes, oversized books,CDs, toys) in regular cardboard boxes, with the comics bagged & boarded to protect them during shipping.

We do not ship comics to you that we receive damaged; we wait until we receive undamaged replacements. UPS automatically insures each package for up to $100. We do everything on our end to assure the comics arrive in mint condition, but of course once they leave our hands we obviously have no control.

Can I get a discount if I order a large amount of items?

We currently do not offer quantity discounts. We do, however, run sales and promotions from time to time that include discounts. Please sign up for our newsletter to receive notifications about sales events!
